waterford bridge 3/12/06

People:myself,boycie and Keith

Duration:3hrs

Tide:dropping

Weather:gale force winds

Bait:fresh lug

Rigs:2 hook flappers

Results:2 flounder and 6 silver eels

Catch and Release:: Yes



Report:went after cod but cause of the rain there was to much fresh water so unfortunately no cod.I got 2 silver eels and a flounder,Boycie got 3 silver eels and a nice size flounder and Keith got a silver eel.have to say those winds last week didn't make it easy to fish but it was good crack doh

species. bass,pollock,conger,withing,blue whiting,dogs,3b rockling,cod,coaley,dab,wrasse,SMOOTHIE,flounder,plaice,tope,red gurnard,blue shark,mackrel,fresh water eel,pouting,and a nice 6lb lobster,scad,huss,corkswin wrasse.

Nice Flounder there lads, did ye go further down the river for the Cod? It can be a bit more sheltered too not too far past the Hopistal.

its funny.i passed through waterford on th way to collage every week for 4 years and always wondered wat the fishing was like by the bus station. wat else is cought there
shore species 2008(25):dogfish(3.1lbs), bull huss (12lb 2oz), bass, shore rockling, coalie, whiting, pollack, conger (22.4lbs),flounder, thick lipped mullet (4.8lbs),turbot,ling (11.2lbs),ballan wrasse(4.5lbs), cuckoo wrasse, pouting, poor cod, cod (9.5lbs), dab, 3 bearded rockling, long spined scorpion fish, corkwing wrasse, plaice, trigger fish, sea trout, garfish

thats a very good flounder for there,if you had of went a few miles down the river you would of got cod.
