Went down the pier today with davy and pete from the forum ,weather was horrendous but at least there was a few fish knocking around ,pete borrowed my spare mini rod for a dangle in the boulders and the jammy ********** got a specimen rockling first drop, lovely fish and we thought we were in for a decent session ,but it was all quite after that bar a few small shore rockling and davy managing to produce another tadpole fish .
Not a great day weather wise but good to see a half decent fish for pete after making the journey down .
btw pete has the photos but i think he has another use for them

If someone shows you a mark to fish, respect it and dont pass it of as one of your own, dont tell every man and his dog about it.

Here I felt bad...using your gear and all... :) It was one of the jammiest bit of fishing I've pulled of yet  Big thanks to yourself and Davy for the trip, really enjoyed the session and need less to say was over the moon with the rockie. Really neat to see the tadpole fish too, class looking creature. Really opened my eyes that type of fishing, showed the value of adjusting tactics and really exploring your own doorstep.

fished the pier last night and tonight for the rockling ,last night only produced a couple of fish but i managed another good 3 bearded of 1lb 14oz much to davys disgust  not as many fish around at the moment but we were back tonight again and i had another decent rockling just short of specimen this time , and davy had a nice lobster of 2lbish that was returned and a wee conger ,again not alot of bites but it beats sitting in the house watching tv .

we'll have to compare photos ,i suppose thats the beauty of catch and release and looking after your fish ,you always have a chance to get them again only hopefully bigger .

Ithink the markings are pretty unique to each fish so a couple of photos usually do the trick and i think its prob less stressful for small fish ,ok for big things but rockling are pretty small .
