ballintoy/ glenarm beach sat 2/12/06

#1 Post by rab 525 »

People:me , ghostie and john

Duration:1 +1/20hrs at ballintoy and 2 hrs at g/arm

Tide:high 21.00

Weather:fecking awful gales and wet

Bait:rag ,squid, and mack

Rigs:

Results:dab and dogfish

Catch and Release:: Yes

Report:headed up the coast against better advice from sane members of the public as ghostie was busting to try out his new rod :shock: .
the wind was horrendious on the antrim coast only a little bit of shelter at glenarm from the south wind but it was packed as every other looper like us was on it so headed north to get shelter below the cliffs at ballintoy but the wind had a touch of east in it here and was a night mare and ghosties new rod hit the deck a few times :( so we ended up just having one cast each and got a decent sized dab on a 3/0 :shock:
headed back to try glenarm beach which was now deserted and picked up the dogfish on a straight squid bait
should have listened to the advice from the men in the white coats :D :D
