Newby to Shore Fishing, Help needed

#1 Post by John Hartigan »

Hi all,
Just a quick note to ask for a bit of help from some experienced people.
I am new to shore fishing, i have fly-fished for trout for about fifteen years but would like to get in to shore fishing much more now....

I live in Clonmel Co. Tipp and so am looking at fishing mostly between youghal and dungarvan i think, i researched a few marks on the net but basically i am wondering where would be the best place to go and start out (maybe collect some bait too, crabs worms ? ) I was thinking whiting bay, but as i said I'm just not sure enough about anything yet :)

Looking at going Monday or Tuesday of next week, depending on weather.

(I have done some sea fising before, so I roughly know what I'm at)

Winds hopefully will have died down a bit by then (accuweather says they will 8) 8) )
HW is @ 11.30 approx - should be there about 10.00 or so...

If your interested....come on down :) :) :)
