yes it is often worth it for cod and fish such as that.......despite the fact i have never caught a cod

you cant beat a rough sea to get the cod feeding.we practically pray for very rough conditions at this time of year so we can head up the north antrim coast in search of good cod,but its not for the faint hearted or someone fishing alone.we take our safety very seriously and have throw ropes etc and usually stand well back from the edge and dont take stupid risks.its a real buzz fishing in those conditions but if i didn`t feel safe i wouldn`t do it :)

you fishing killiney cause if you are il see you there :P , bring a beachbuddy and some lenghts of timber to reinforce it, cause the wind tends to make a bend in it and this act as a buckets and lets the rain through, have caught 2lb haddock, 4lb cod and small bass in mega surfs here buts thats in the 15 or so sessions ive done here in crap weather. having said that i did get 3 cod and one collie a few weeks back in a SW force6 yeah!!
im mad anyway, but what direction is the wind tommorow? probaly should know that anyone?

im not saying there are loads of cod around but there is still the chance of a biggie.if you go to the gallery on the opening page of this site and open page 5 you`ll see some lucky ******(aka ronald) with the size of cod its poss to get if the conditions are good(well bad actually,as it needs to be rough  )
by the way the cod im holding was caught at a deep water mark called... Norway!!
