online tackle stores

At the suggestion of various members and given the magazines will run a mile from criticising a piece of kit, here is your chance to tell us what you really think about a rod, reel, line, lure... keep it legal please!

online tackle stores

#1 Post by frodo baggins »

can anyone recommend a few? i'm just looking for reputable dealers that carry a decent range of terminal tackle. Limerick city doesn't have the greatest array of terminal tackle or at the most competitive proces. any info is much appreciated.

For me, Veals is number one because of their top quality customer relations 8) , however, in saying that, I haven't tried many others.

I've bought off Gerrys and Veals with no probs on postage.

Liam - if anyone tries to mess you about with postage and charge extra for NI - tell them to stick it.

Point out the fact that it does not cost extra to send stuff to NI. NI is part of UK and is subject to the same charges for postage.

A guy on ebay tried to charge me £25 to ship a rod from S England, it was advertised for £10 postage. I got a price from TNT of £8.95 and £14.95 from Parcelforce!! I dug my heels in and he managed to send it at the agreed price of £10.

Never forget - you are the buyer, the seller has to satisfy you, not himself.

Gerrys of morcambe, veals and tackleshop.co.uk have been great to deal with and never had any bother with any of them. Delivery was always fast too :)

cheers lads,

I've always had bad experiences over the years ordering stuff from the uk. either being shafted for postage or being treated like a plonker coz i'm a paddy.

never used veals or gerrys though.

thanks again.

I use southend angling and never had a problem always next day delivery never paid more than £8 for delivery and that was for 2 long rods.

Or veals also but postage a bit of a problem with them sometimes.
