theres usually always a good double figure bass caught around this time of year in donabate, theres loads of little gullys and you have to be able to place a big king rag into these gullies and wait, the crabs might get the better of the rag and you might not catch a bass straight away but there is always bass there at this time of year for some reason,
Wish list for 2015: sword tail, black Molly, horny cobbler

donabate holds bass at this time, if you get to the tower and head left right down the beach and alond the rocks youll see a big pipe outlet covered in concrete that you can walk out along, its sewage i think, not pretty but it does be TEEMING with mullet on a calm evening, you wont get them on or even close to the bottom, best option to float a mussel, prawn, rag or kug, even seen them caught on floating bread crust... rays in summer on the sand but hard fishin with the crabs, not many doggies (except round the outlet!
) wher thers rocks, sand an mullet theres bound to be bass knockin about, very shallow besch so youll probly need waders an a bloody good cast to hit deep water an cod etc... hope this helps
