next northern meet december

hi dont know what date is the northern meeting for next month since xmas is coming so put a date on it and were you think we might go so take it away lads and ladys :D :D :D of course guys from the south are happy to join us and take part on were to go and date :D :D :D

nice one biglaim i enjoy the meets so hope we can get one going even if it is only a few members.

my normal group of me ,costa and dave and carry on nursing will be comeing with us she says if not working.

So thats 4 or 5 at the moment.

As for place i leave my choice until others have a say iam happy anywere.

We are free 8th a fri and the 29th another fri.

I would like to put the 8th forward aand i hope that suits everyone.

Just got told about december meet and i am happy with the 8th also. So unless something like a shift change i will be attending.

I also will be happy with any venue just want to get out to a meet.

Is saturday mornings or afternoons no good for anyone. Friday is a bummer to get away from work early enough

Fri best for me cant fish other days due to work.

Come on mate most meets i see are late on in the day more night time.

I be getting a lift with a few mates and they same due to work and child minders fri suits them.

besides drews pier on the dee and the odd fish from portaferry i have never known down coast to fish and not many marks that hold say 8-10 people.

But would love to be educated so if someone knows a mark i be happy to fish anywere.

So can i take it people going to aim for the 8th dec for this one.

what about browns bay or painted rocks at islandmagge loads of room and has thrown up a few good fish.

And if poor can move to a few close marks and for those getting out of work late close to belfast 20mins and there.

browns bay or what about down to carlingford/greenore?
was down last week fair bit of room
from belfast it takes as long to get to as the likes of waterfoot/cushendun area

and you can get cheap fuel too :D

Conger, Codling, Coalfish, Shore Rockling, Dab, Flounder, Dogfish, 3 beard rocking, Pollack, Whiting, Pouting, Red cod, Poor Cod, Tadpole fish, Short and Long splined sea sculpin, TopKnot, Cukcoo Ray,

Targets: fish over 10lb, eel over 20lb (came VERY close almost :( )

Never fished there thompo what sort of thing comes out of there.

Iam happy anywere so go with the growd.

iam sure if we sort date and numbers place will get fixed when tide shows.


8th good for everyone so far makes a change when comes to meets lol

Carnlough Beach would be fine with me or glenarm i am not fused relay carnlough would be good for the lads and Lady's coming down str8 after work means that they can get a bite to eat and have more time fishing :roll:

im up for anywhere aswell

only fished greenore the once last week had a doggie and then had something decent on, lots of head shaking a good run then the hook lost its hold :(

very fast tide though reminded me of fahan, theres a channel thats just about hittable (by me anyway lol) dunno what it could throw up but ive read reports of bass/tope/ray and other exotic spieces you dont get much of round here lol
