525 supermag
What your choice of line for this reel?,do you reckon 18lb berkely with 50 leader would be ok?
A bad day fishing is better than a good day at the office!

Always used 15lb Daiwa tournament with no problems. Recently changed to Suffix Tritanium also in 15lb. Its a super line, comes in at .35mm for 15lb. I also use another brand of Suffix, cannot remember the name off hand but its 19lb BS for the same line diameter, also with no problems. Cant see you having any bother whatsoever with the Berkely stuff TBH though.
Edit....Its Suffix Synergy in the 19lb BS @ 0.35mm

I have my 525 loaded with 15lb Red Ice and a spare spool with 20lb Berkley Trilene (I think that's the name), I find the Berkley a bit springy in the cast but that could be my casting
The Red Ice runs like a dream.
Sakuma Nite Crystal is a real good line too, I use this on my Sports Mags on beaches - it is excellent line which casts well and line lay on the spool is easy to control.

good lines. berkley is good in 20lb with no shock for lobbing in estuaries for bass n flats with lots of weed around n with shock for mixed ground- will take plenty of knocks. i've had last load on my spool about a year now and it's still fine!

i use sakuma nite crystal for tournament casting in 0.28/0.31/0.35 and find it good if a little bit light, for fishing im using Rhino Protector and cant rate it highly enough, it has lived up to all fishing situations over here and ive landed fish to 30lb from rock marks 2weeks ago in Africa with it, very strong and abraisive resistant and at 0.33 for 18lb BS its the best line ive ever used

there are a few, the easiest is to hump it,,(and i dont mean the obvious!!) start loading the line on making 3 small humps (one on each side and the other in the middle) filling 1/3 of the spool this helps balance the spool, then start to level it off and reel the rest on keeping it even and level till the spool is just under full, if you over fill it will lead to birdies, hope this helps
