Cork meets anyone....?

#1 Post by petekd »

They're doing it in Dublin, they're doing it in Limerick and heaven help us they do it fierce well in the North.... :D Meets I'm talking about...

There seems to be a few more Cork lads on site in recent times, y'all know who you are, anyone got any interest in having regular Fish 'n' Meets? For those who dont drive I'm sure things can be worked out. Be nice to have a bunch to go and hit a mark employing different tactics and see what works the best rather than foraging away on your own.... Good to put faces to names too and share info & tips etc. How about it lads?

Tides V suitable for an evening trip, out this evening, had a schoolie and a coalie, Phanover had a schoolie and another buddy had a coalie. Not great but would have liked to be there an hour or two earlier. Sure gimme a shout tomorrow if you want to head out, it doesnt usually take too much arm twisting..... :D

Can I propose Thu November 30th for the first meet. I have to be somewhere Friday and the weekend is shot so Thu it will have to be....

Weather permitting, hit one of the beaches, anyone any particular preferences? I'll go for Garretstown as a first choice, its fished very well recently, but if anyone wants to add to that, feel free. Wherever we hit if we said meet around 7.00 and fish the tide up for a couple of hours or whatever? Myself and I would automatically presume Phanover, will be there to kick things off. Anyone with transport difficulties, say so and we'll see can we sort something out.

The missus is on a hens night Germany for the weekend. :D So I'll be free Friday after work. Have rod will travel. 8) I would love a bash on "de wall", hopefully it will be fishing better. I would also like to fish a beach in the area as well. I have already roped Ally in, so at least something will be caught  and I think Aidan might be up for it as well. I'll let you know what the story is as soon as I have more info.

Cancelled due to weather mainly and a lack of bodies, December it seems is not really a good time for anyone. I am going to resurrect this in early January, post Chrimbo madness and see what we can organise. There are more than enough bodies down this way onsite to make a good go of it. Always far more fun turning up at a mark with a few bodies, you can all try different approaches and find out whats working a sight faster too.

Watch this space and hopefully see you all in the New Year....... :D

Was canceled because Pete had the AGM conference call that night and nobody else showed much interest unfortunately. Maybe we can organise one soon.
