Forum meet, Carrig west, North kerry, 17-nov

#1 Post by Donagh »

I'm putting out a meet for carrig west on Friday 17th of november. Low water is around 9:15pm and I'd hope to start fishing at around 7:30pm. Expected catchs could be anything with huss and doggies still possible but this marks also has good size dabs and whiting. Please let me know if theres any interest in this.

Eoin Noonan texted me to say he was on for it. Weather for Friday at the moment looks the wind won't be bad for Friday. No one from kerry seems on for it they must be frightened of been shown up :)

Its good to see that there will be 6 or so people there. Fishing should be fairly good.

It will be cold but Garoid and Estuary Lad have volunteered to bring the sambo's and hot drinks for us. Cheers lads.

I'll have ham, chicken, lettuce, Mayo, cheese, coleslaw and tomatoes in mine. Make sure its brown bread. Nearly forgot cheese and onion crisps as well.

Anyone else who's going can PM the lads there prefrences.

You better raid your piggy bank as I think you will about 2 dozen packets for all the fish I will be catching. 12 packs to smoke all the fish I will be catching and the other 12 packs for you to smoke as you sit staring at a still rods tip all night.

On a more serious note, what do ye think of the weather for tomorrow. There should be a 35KM/HR westerly wind possibly stronger and bitterly cold with a sharpe frost.

I suppose thats winter fishing for you, Just have to wrap up warm.

I'd still fish it if it was like that but its only a meet so no ones under any obligation to turn out even if there the boys are doing up sambos

I'll have a look at the forecast tonight at 7 and report it up here.
