theres a few around corbawn on a high at he moment not in big numbers,
you could also try dalkey(sorrento on a slack tide) or the north beach greystones after a blow.

theres two good spots i know always produce cod to around 4-5 pound on is the 40 foot and the other is around the back of bullock harbour. now you wont catch cod all the time but it does hold big ones. the 40 foot also holds pollock ling and coalies and plenty of dogs. but be warned the place is snag heaven so if you are goin to fish either spot be prepared to loss alot of gear. on the other hand if you dont want to loose gear you could fish bug rock which is beside dun laiore baths the place is holding plenty of small cod at the moment we were catching them every cast nearly the last time we went down, plus one of me mates had a whopper plaice. the only thing is that you have to use freshly dug lug it gives the best results.

the 40 foot is just at the martello tower in sandycove if you get to dun laoire ask anyone and they will tell you were it is. watch your elf but if your thinking of fishing it you can only really fish one spot and its to the left of where the swimmers do be make sure to leave plenty of room betewwen your self and them cause there moany so and so's also watch out for big waves cause from the hss ive seen lads lose a lot of gear because of them and they could pull you in aswell so set up and stand back in a bit of cover. the place to fish is around the back of bullock you have to scale a good few rocks but if you follow the path you will know when you get to the spot or just ask one of the lobster pot men.
