Duration:1800-21.30

Tide:goin out

Weather:light rain

Bait:lug worm

Rigs:1 hook clip down, and 2 hook clip down

Results:3 small cod and 1 mackeral

Catch and Release:: Yes ate mackeral and no



Report:just loadsa crabs taking bait of hooks most of the night, seen the biggest dog fish i've ever seen, caught by a wee portugese man who was after conger with three rods and half mackeral.

You Sure it was a Dog, and not a Huss? What size was it?

how do u tell the difference?

have photos but cant put them on as they are too big 1.98meg. anyone know what to use to compress them?

Just resize the pictures in Photoshop or Paint. Easiest way.
Fluff chucking is the new black..... Rampant Wreckfish is a fly angler in denial :D

its a huss. nasal flaps are the easiest way
why does yer last cast always take an hour?

Where abouts is best to fish strangford? Never been able to find anywhere fished portaferry plenty though
species so far 2007 (18....)
Conger, Codling, Coalfish, Shore Rockling, Dab, Flounder, Dogfish, 3 beard rocking, Pollack, Whiting, Pouting, Red cod, Poor Cod, Tadpole fish, Short and Long splined sea sculpin, TopKnot, Cukcoo Ray,

Targets: fish over 10lb, eel over 20lb (came VERY close almost :( )

Always thought there was Huss in Strangford to be honest, i'm still convinced it holds the odd bass too, somebody might get a nice surprise someday. :wink:
