Re: low tide
You could try portmuck. between the island and the shore ( A bit of a clamber over the rocks to get to)
But it can be a good mark at low water for conger + doggies using mack'
Also spinning for pollack and coalies without snagging the seaweed  Or float fishing for wrass :)

I find that fishing to low water can be most productive! I fished Melmore Head one summers day a couple of years ago. Had been fishing all day long and had nothing to show for it! Then all of a sudden that night at around 9.30 i started catching! 26 fish(mackeral and Pollack) The tide at that stage was out as far as it could go! Also a couple of weeks ago we fished Ballyliffen beach(pollan bay) and it to was more productive at low water. Different places fish better at different stages of the tide! It's a different storey for me this weekend as we r gonna fish Culdaff beach and it fishes better at high tide. 4 weeks ago i had 2 sea trout of the beach at high tide!
