is there a close season for sea fishing?
just would like ur opinions. do u pack the rods away for a couple of months or do u persevere on all year??

if i wanted to pack my rods away i'd become a salmon and trout fisher....

No way - you can catch different species all throught the year.
Cod, whiting, flounder and plaice can all be caught in the winter months...

i have even fished on christmas eve, quite a few of my birthdays, new yrs day, in the morning before getting ready for a friends weddin (he fished as well)

fishing in the cold is a challenge in itself. when its cold and rainy less people around so its easier to 'get away from it all'. I like Whiting. and we got good runs of bass during the winter around here last year.
one thing about Fishing in extreme weather its definitely 'different'. you really appreciate simple things like a warm home and dry clothes after it. :D
it will possibly add years to your life if you spend a few nights fishing instead of drinking over the christmas period with your mates.
Also think of all that extra cool gear you can buy yourself if you go night fishing during the winter theres beach buddies, dual fuel lanterns, those one piece suits thingies. its all good. :wink:
