#1 Post by Richie07 »

People:myself and the missus

Duration:9.00 am - 16.00

Tide:HT around 14.00 ish

Weather:nice,not much wind.

Bait:Rag,frozen black lug,squid,mackerel

Rigs:Pennel and paternoster

Results:some small whiting,small codling and a 2lb flounder

Catch and Release:: Yes/No yes.

Report:Was supposed to go to Wexford,had to be back earlyish so didn't fancy it,anyway decided to fish the north beach,haven't fished this beach in years,I mainly fish the pier or the south beach.Was getting plenty of small bites and lost something rather big on the way in.It ran into some weed and couldn't get it out,line snapped.Was delighted with the flounder though,haven't caught one of this size around Greystones in a long time.

Was fishing about 100 metres past that arch,where the water flows into the sea.I wouldn't mind giving it a go again but was a bit annoyed with the dog walkers,1 dog ran off with a mackerel on my bait board,another dog pished on me beach buddy and another dog pished on my tripod when I wasn't looking :roll: .One women said theres a spray you can get to stop the dogs p1ssing :roll: ,I said,she should carry one so.I was beginning to think it was the dogfish sending some sort of message for their land cousins to extract revenge :lol:
