When do the Mackeral and Bass arrive in Cork?

Can anyone letme know when the Mackeral arrive in Cork and also are the bass around all year long and if not when do they arrive?

You will find it hard to catch mackerel at the moment as the bass keep taking the lures.
On the serious side the markerel are well gone but the bass are still hovering around the place.

Mackerel used to arrive on the shore in cork harbour late in july but over recent years its been geting earlier. this year we had mackerel off ballycotton pier in may, and camden in june? go figure!
