Recommendations for bank holiday weekend?

Hi all,

I was planning to go down to Cork with the girlfriend in the bank holiday weekend in the end of October. SHE suggested I bring my fishing gear!!

Just in case I'm not going to mention it again!

The main plan is to RELAX. So can someone recommend a nice quiet place close to the sea (don't mind East or West Cork), perhaps a B&B comes to mind... Oh, I've only got a small rod (8ft) so it'll have to be pier/rock fishing. I'd also need to know what I can catch there..

Or did you mean where I'm from originally? I'm aware of growing concerns regarding some people's culture/indiscriminate fishing habits???
