Conoflex stinger 2

Just done something really stupid AGAIN on ebay just been told i won bid for a conoflex stinger 2.....As per usual i dint try before i buy :oops: ....Just wondering does anyone know anything about this rod and what its best suited too?

how are ya hairy. i bougth 1 a few years ago. have used it mainly for conger and huss fishing.i luv it for these. its quite heavy in weight with a relitivly soft tip but quite powerful further down the blank. i can get 80+ yards with a full mack fillet and a 5 ounce weight.havnt really fished light with it tho.
shore species 2008(25):dogfish(3.1lbs), bull huss (12lb 2oz), bass, shore rockling, coalie, whiting, pollack, conger (22.4lbs),flounder, thick lipped mullet (4.8lbs),turbot,ling (11.2lbs),ballan wrasse(4.5lbs), cuckoo wrasse, pouting, poor cod, cod (9.5lbs), dab, 3 bearded rockling, long spined scorpion fish, corkwing wrasse, plaice, trigger fish, sea trout, garfish

Cheers lumpy deffo a rod for the ruff stuff then??....just found it confusing as the section conoflex put it in on the website....thats what i wanted the rod for anyway....Cheers

i wouldnt say its an out and out rough ground rod, not as in the sense as a nemesis slr. i hav both and th slr is defo more powerful, i just like the softer tip on the stinger 2. i like the way it sits in the tide and i seem to hook more huss with it. think its due to the softer tip offering lest resistance.

no problem.its prog isnt the best rod in their rod but it does wat i ask of it so i cant really complain. good luck with it.
