getting reel repaired

HI
Lads

anyone know were i can get a abu garcia 6500 repaired around kildare/dublin area when i reel it is like the drag is off and i cant get in any line

There is a guy in liverpool who is very reliable - you could post it to him - I will PM you his contact details this evening.

The problem could be something minor that you could fix yourself...

I would get the expanded diagram out carefully take the thing apart you will see the problem and fix it or see the part that needs replaicing get the number from the diagram and order it.

If you are not confident with that do the ABU people have on-line help? if so email them

You haven't loaded it with braid by any chance?

Now to add some fish:Cukoo,Ballan,Pollock,Coalie,Pouting,Conger,poor cod....mm needs more fish.. Mackerel, Dogie, Mullet Flounder...poor year so far....

no braid just mono but i think i made a hames of it if i hold the line off the spool it will reel otherwise it wont but this is only happens during the last few yards of reeling

Croppy send it over to abu in Crewe, Bristol...

They'll give it the once over . I find them great...

I've sent two over in the past and never got charged.

Im in kildare north and do all my own work on my reels for tournament casting, servicing and general upkeep, giz a shout if your stuck.
