as far as i have gathered it's a free for all (better be) ,no prizes ..
unless yu want to do largest fish..

just a chance for us down south to prove that we are better than them in the north...

as for the Sea Angling Ireland SAC members i presume otherwise if it goes towards their master angler(dont get me started   )..

(just watch and see me being told different :? :? :? )

If someone shows you a mark to fish, respect it and dont pass it of as one of your own, dont tell every man and his dog about it.

Not very well Jonny.....

I caught one fish - which is one more than most other anglers managed.

An official report will follow but I think the South may have just shaded it.

It was a bit of an anti-climax - but that fishing for you

Livid didn't blank because Livid didn't fish, i got fed up trying to keep my rod rest up so instead decided to give Drew moral support. Clearly didn't work as he blanked. Hairy got a nice flounder of i think 35cm, think he also got a smaller one.

Hear mention of someone getting a couple of Turbot, can't remember who.

I must say it was great to meet everybody, even if it was only briefly.
The fishing was pretty tough between the two streams, but Pete McGrory caught a few small flounder, none of which scored.
It is pretty clear that Livid won the drinking competition, stoically enduring the elements while he gurgled away on his tinnies! I'm sure Drew was glad of his support.
In the end the South squeezed a narrow(!) victory over North. Colin was the overall individual winner, with a turbot and a flounder, but petekd was delighted with a very nice double of turbot.
It was good to see 20+ people out, and maybe we could have a return match in the South next year- perhaps at a venue where Hounds are a possibility (June/July??)
