#1 Post by Eoghan »

Got a couple of these from Veals recently. Never used em before. I presume the best way to use them if a fast jerky retireval..?

Anyone any experience of these..?

hi e.
whip em across the top, if/ when u c a bass follow stop reelin for a sec.
they also catch on the "drop" and work ok. fished normal.
the small ones take all size fish the bigger ones take mostly fish +5lb.
they work best in shallow water and dont catch much weed.
by this time next yr. they will be your fav. lure 8)

yeah i would use them in a similar way to a toby, similar profile(though a bit slimmer) and they work in a similar way.

as cortaz says they are good at staying weed free, they cast great too. i have had pike to 15lbs on them from a shallow lake where you need to cast a long way but also need a lure that will stay above the weed.

The way I usually retrieve is reel like crazy for about 5 seconds and then twitch the lure slowly for about 3 seconds and then repeat. I get most of my takes just as I am reeeling fast after the slow retrieve.

Will try the methods above though...!
