Tide:high 18.00

Weather:showers fresh n/w

Bait:rag,lug,mack,squid +white rag

Rigs:2 hook pats and float gear

Results: 6 pollack, 3 plaice biggest 2.25 lb and yin speciem lsd

Catch and Release:: Yes except for 2 plaice

Report:was going to head to donegal but went here at the last moment and was glad we did when the wind blew up about 16.30, on arrival we seen a large fish thrashing about in the water bout 60 yds out being swooped upon by half a dozen gulls tried a spinner but had no luck :( in connecting with it and after 15 mins it was gone, dont know what it was didnt look like a salmon but was easily 12--15 lb
shortly after this we picked up the pollack on the float and just coming on to dusk i scooped my best shore caught plaice for about 3 years :D and my da lifted the big doggie about 3.5 lb he never catches dogs or so he says

Hi rab ,were you fishing towards balintoy ? larrybane is normally a good spot for seatrout over the weed .
Nice doggie ,was a a lsd or a bullhuss ?
If someone shows you a mark to fish, respect it and dont pass it of as one of your own, dont tell every man and his dog about it.
