Ennereilly North beach

People:Me

Duration:1900-0030

Tide:Last of ebb and first of the flow

Weather:Mild- NW wind decreasing to nothing. A clear night with the new moon disappearing early. slight swell on coloured sea to start decreasind and clearing as the wind dropped.

Bait:Mackerel, sandeel, squid, rag

Rigs: 2 hook flappers and clipdown pennel

Results:Dogs, small whiting and dabs and one good huss est 8-10 lbs

Report: Started quiet as usual with just some small stuff until dark when the dogs started to come on. Had a steady stream of dogs in singles and doubles with the odd small whiting until I got hit by the huss which got my attention. I thought I had hit a big smoothie but on reflection it probobly fought harder. After that it was back to the dogs. A lot of the dogs were small.

Fair play pat. Nice huss that. We were at the south end of the beach with nothing major to report except a small spotted ray.
I require a tremendous amount of calcium

I drove down there first to have a look at the sea just to help make my mind up if I would fish there or move on. i saw a couple of cars there but decided to fish the far end. Maybe next time.
