Results: 2 Codling, 3 Whiting, 5 Pollack, 1 Coalfish


Report: a lot of silly wee bites, some of which resulted in Silly Wee Fish, It was the Bottom of the Tide so I think thats what Kept the Coalies out.

Well Bangor pier would produce similar fish, only small usually, although the Bangor area will produce much bigger wrasse etc during summer (as in gallery :P ), don't forget the specimen Rockling, tadpole fish etc!! :lol: Think it'll produce it's first wolfish in winter. :lol: :lol: :lol:

down what road? the rock marks after Donaghadee, in between there and Millisle, are quite productive with pollack and macks in summer, always dogs about, Drew and others can fill the rest in, all around that stretch of coast will produce the usual, pollack, dogs, macks, whiting and cod in season... the rest... :lol:

I'm still waiting reports of any fish existing in Ballyholme bay though, anyone? :lol:

I've tried Ballyholme a few times, not so much as a bite. I've fished the mark between the Dee and Millisle with Drew once, i've been twice and got 4 pollack spinning.

nothing wrong with the pier it throws up the odd decent fish. the same can be said for anywhere along the coastline. and i'm talking about hotspots along the antrim coast as well! just gotta get thru the small ones and hope the next one is a biggy. had a great day at orlock head on sunday fishing a spot i'd never tried there and never saw anyone else fish before. as soon as the weight sunk to the bottom the rod was away! caught a pollock a cast all ranging from 3/4 pound to 1 1/2 pound which is decent enough sport. fish had me out of mackerel in an hour! have to say it paid off trying somewhere new.
