People:just two of us

Duration:saturday 26/8 9:30pm to about 12 ish

Tide:just turned and on the up

Weather:dry,mild,very light breeze,1 very light shower (3 mins )

Bait:feathers

Results:5 coalies from 1/2 lb upto about 1 1/2 lb


Report:good nights fishing on a very pleasent night.not a great deal happening but still it's better than sitting in the house.
will be back soon to try and get a better nights fishing as it normally gets better in portaferry around this time of year..........bring it on baby!!!!!!! i'm waiting!!!!!!
reports from locals of loads of mackeral still in the lough and good sized coalies making an appearance locally

Took a run down yesterday afternoon tried a few spots out the far side of the town. BLANKED :oops: :cry:

it's not nice blanking esp. in portaferry,cos at this time of year it is usually hectic-but these things happen.
someone else must have been there before me on saturday night as they had left rag worm lying-obviously they wern't catching either judging by the amount of rag left behind.
the ones we did catch were good fighting fish,but never as good as the old mackerel.
going to give it another blast this friday or saturday evening.....weather and WIFE permitting... :oops:
