People:VIP, Topbox, the-wee-one, Loopy lug, toaddi33 and Me

Duration:9pm to 3am

Tide:LW @ 2 am

Weather:Slight wind from the North, dry.

Bait:Mackerel, Sandeels, Squid

Rigs:Clipped down rigs and Conger rigs

Results:Dodfish and a whiting over the back wall, congers not playing the game.

Report:John and I started out by having a few casts over the back wall, result a diggy for me and a whiting for John before we all set up the Conger gear. Runs were fairly steady throughout the night but no hook-ups  Heard that a few fish boxes of mackerel had been filleted there earlier in the day so perhaps they were well enough fed to make them fussy :(

Maybe next time.

there were guys out on a boat got a box or two of mackerel and filletted them all on the slipway during the afternoon, they then proceeded to leave all the carcasses of the mackerel in a massive pile on the small arm beside the slipway plus loads of them scattered all over the slipway itself. at seeing this and the posssible complaints about anglers to the council that may have arisen from this i took some time out from my fishing and pushed them all where possible into the harbour itself out of sight from the public and keeping something bigger fed, there were so many laying around that the gulls were even turning their beaks away from them!!!!....so id say the resident eels were definately well enough fed!!
Not the BigPhil from Irish Angler mag, I'm the original, i swear!!!!
