portrush harbour co antrim 23rd august

#1 Post by BigPhil »

People:myself and steven

Duration:2pm to around 8pm

Tide:filling mostly

Weather:sunny with the odd shower and light breeze

Bait:rag, mack, sandeel, wraps

Rigs:1 hook clipped and 2 hook flappers

Results:very little on the back wall, a couple of dogs and dabs, at high tide we started getting snagged and losing gear in the raised weed so came inside the harbour and fished for the mini species on the quivertip rod, great craic, must have had around 10 pollack, 20 odd wrasse and a rock goby around 6/7inches.

Report:brillant sport if you want to take your kids with light gear, trout hooks and a bag of ragworm and a side of mackerel, just fish down the side of the harbour wall
