Hi,
As someone who normally fishes rocky shore marks, I don't know much about boat fishing.
What's the difference between fishing a reef or a wreck?
If you're using jelly worms or something like that, what do you do? Just drop them to the bottom and retrieve them directly up through the water back to the boat?
Thanks for any help.

Jelly worms (6 inch - red/pink tail) threaded onto a 1oz spirepoint leadhead . FIshed on reefs around Tory Island. Cast as close to cliff face or reef as possible , let it sink and retrieve very slowly. You'll feel the bump of fish going at it, but don't strike. They usually hook themselves and you'll know when they are on. Use a 9ft spinning rod and spinning reel ( I use a 6ft 6inch spincast ugly stik and shimano 4000 blade reel). It's great craic.
If possible use a full mackerel belly or back strip instead of a jelly worm.
