People: me and steven

Duration:roughly 2-7

Tide:slack and fill

Weather:sunny, then overcast, calm light breeze

Bait:sandeel and rag plus spnners etc

Rigs:spinning rigs for sandeel, float rigs, leadheads etc

Results:for around an hour just as the tide started to fill it was brilliant with a pollack every cast mostly to sandeel deep spun, best around 4.5lb, then it stopped all of a sudden.
then seen dogs coming up out of the rough ground and feeding along the rocks and weed in only a bout 2ft of water right below us, tried, but to no avail, then a shoal of mullet appearred, all around the 5-6lb mark, by the time i got geared up for them they dissappearred, then changed to a leadhead baited with mackerel fillet, lost a conger on it, then for the last hour we changed to float for the wrasse, got 2 small ones in but lost a cracker.

Wanted to go to ballintoy this week, talked myself out of it. The doggies dont seem to be too keen there as when i fished Ballintoy last summer it was the same with them just swimming up and down the rock edges and showing no interest in baits we dropped right in front of them. Bit strange for them not to be keen.
