Mackeral
How long do Mackeral stay in and around our shoreline for, what month would they normally move off again? This summer seems to be passing me by and i'll be annoyed if i don't get the chance to do some shore bashing before it's out, i also need bait for the winter. If anyone has any latest reports from in and around Bangor or Belfast lough in general, cheers!

Livid I had them in previous years well into October and early November of the shore in Donegal. I'm not sure how they behave on east coast of Ulster though :?:

Went to a beach just west of Bonmahon as the light was fading.
Walked onto the beach and saw a load of fish driving sprats into the sand. :D
Here we go I thought. A shoal of bass :D :D
Every cast met a Mackerel :( :x
Could not get them when I wanted them in summer
