St. John's Point

#1 Post by pete »

Fished a short enough session at the point head and finished with a measly three wrasse, the mate got one other. Quite a few anglers down, counted 8 others but only seen a few mackerel and one pollock being landed.

Still one of the wrasse went 4 1/4lb and the other was bang on 4lb so was happy enough. Still the place is normally heaving with wrasse so found it a little strange not to pick up some more.
Sea Species(25) bass, codling, whiting, turbot, seatrout, stingray, pollock, coalfish, longspine scorpion, ballan wrasse, dogfish, ling, pouting, poor cod, dab, mackerel, smelt, sandeel, launce, bull huss, painted ray, thick lip mullet, golden grey mullet, rock goby.
Fresh Water (2) brown trout, sea trout
