People: Me and two others

Duration: 21.00 - 00.00

Tide: HT - 01.00

Weather: Calm and warm

Bait: Rag, mack and sandeel

Rigs: 1 hook clip down and 2 hook flapper

Results: 2 mack, 2 LSD, 1 dab and 1 flounder

Report:
After my recent trip to France I was really pining to get onto a good Home County Beach. My bro had kindly left me some rag after his trip up to Whitepark Bay on Saturday and I got the mack and eels from O'Neills in Cushendall.

It turned out to be a great short session in excellent conditions. I put one rod out at around 100yds and kept the other close in.

The first hour produced the two flatties and the mackeral. The mackeral were caught together on the flapper rig on the lighter of my two rods which resulted in a great scrap with much leaping and turning on the surface :D :D

The Dogs were both taken on sand-eel further out.

The moon made an appearance soon after this and the fishing died off so I decided to turn in and head back to the caravan.... but at least I went home happy....

Yes mate - just opposite the library entrance to the car park.

Good wee shop with plenty of stock.

Yes mate defo open on Sunday from 10 or 11 I think. He stocks rag and frozen bait...

It can be a bit hard to find because it is easy to walk past. It is on the opposite side from Harry's restaurant toward C'dun.

There is a wee sign outside on the footpath.
