Duration: 1 hour (10PM) plus 1 hour (10AM next morning)
Tide: Incoming just before HT
Weather: NW light wind, mostly cloudy
Bait: Cheap Tobies
Rigs:
Results: Pollack, Mackeral, Scad, Wrasse (total of around 15 fish, good mix)
Report:
After 3 days of wind and swell at last I got to this rock, by now the sea was gentle, I think this was the key.
I spun the toby as low as possible into kelp (~ 3 fathom), in between mackeral I was getting a bite every cast best fish was a 3lb pollack.
I had to get back the next morning, stuck with toby, had more of the same fun, then out of nowhere a fine wrasse took the toby in close, for me this is
The mark quietened down over the next few days, which made me guess that the good take was due to the first gentle weather coming after the stir.
