Benone Strand

Has anyone been fishing Benone recently, and If So, What has it been producing thinking of having a day up there next week.

somebody like myself wants their first bass. carlingford lough would be less of a travel for u drew. plenty of bass and sea trout there. i have to get down soon. anyway heard someone say before that benone starts to fish really well in september. i'm sure one of the locals will clarify this.

last week in the evening near downhill end with some big lures such like rapalas
not a bite of anything
Im going to try the magilligan end next with same lures then after that back to bait.
I aint cauhgt anything there yet. been three times.
still hoping for first bass

Whats the chances of a Turbot here at this time of year? And what tactics would be best for them?

Try Whitepark Bay some small turbot can be caught at dusk

Unfortunately we're fishing during daylight hours mate! Well, i'll be happy if i don't blank, haven't actually done that in a while so it's due again! :lol:
