Browns bay beach 31st july

#1 Post by grabster »

People:Me and the son

Duration:21.00 till 02.00

Tide:low till high

Weather:dry mostly with some drizzle

Bait:mack and squid

Rigs:assorted

Results:one doggie

Report:Things were very quiet, the son caught the doggie whereas i had only one bite all night, which resulted in nothing.
A fair bit of weed about as well.
I thought things would be better judging by the gulls diving maybe 20 yards out but still no takers.
On the plus side though, we seen a few large fish jumping clear of the water, dont know what they were though, looked very dark whatever they were.
Maybe next time.

Where is Brown's Bay? Those fish jumping might have been sea trout.

Browns bay is at islandmagee in co.antrim.
looking through previous posts i see that sea trout are seen at other local marks so maybe that is what they were.

They dont seem to go for squid 'n' mack though.
