Hi guys,
I am hoping to get a bit of fishing in this Wednesday. It looks like neap tides with high water at about 6pm or so. I was hoping one of you guys in the know can put me on a mark in the South Dublin / Wicklow area, maybe north Wexford. I am hoping for a bit of beach fishing and am looking for a mixed bag of fish. If you don't fancy replying here, a PM would be great. Any locations by PM will be kept to myself.
Thanks,
Kev

Hi MAC, If ye just fancy a bit of variety and plenty of bites, try Scotsmans Bay in Sandycove. (Area from 40ft - Bullock Harbour) There can be plenty of fish over mixed ground to simple worm or crab baits. (Ballen Wrasse, Red Codling, coalies, mackeral, pollack, for definite) possible plaice & dabs on cleaner patches, if ye can find em, schoolie bass, mullet (groundbait) and strap congers.
A spinning rod and rucksack with hooks (1/0 is perfect) lightish weights and bit's and pieces, should see you right, there's a little bit of rock hoppin but safe if it's not raining, and fine on a neap tide. A lovely area too, that holds plenty of fish, also just 25 mins from the city.
