Has anyone else noticed that there are allot more Bass about this year than most and that they are larger than average. Most of the Bass I have had this year have been in the 3Ib up range with very few schoolies. Im not sure if this is a good or bad thing. I dont fish any areas renowned for small Bass but I would usually have had a few sub 1Ib at this stage.
The numbers are up as are the sizes of the fish but the smaller fish seem to be absent..?

hi
would agree there are more better bass about this year, in the past month i,ve had over 200 "strikes" from 3lb+ fish and have seen 50/60 good fish on some days. there are also more schoolies about than i have ever seen the bays/estuarys i have fished,
first noticed a sudden increse in avg. size last set. had 60 over 3 days all over 3lb. before this only 1 in 10 would have 3lb+ fishin the same areas with the same baits.
mayby they came from the med. with the bream? they school together cant see why they would not travel together.
they av also got to be growin a bit faster, due to the seas gettin warmer 8) ??????????????
