Fished half way along the beach over the shallow rocky area. Took two bass, one 3 1/2lb and another of 4lb. Both fish fell to a surface popper. The largest fish had green crab and a solitary tiny flatfish in its stomach.
The tide was three hours into the flood and both fish were got within five minutes of each other. No other takes or follows after this.
