Catching Smoothies

#1 Post by Liamo »

Lads,

I'm looking for an east coast mark that's capable of producing smoothies. I've never caught one and it's turning into a bit of a mission! tide and time of year... If anyone is uncomfortable posting up info a pm or two would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Liam

Never caught one myself. Rarely cast a bait more than 20 yards..!!!

If its any use to you most of the beaches in Wexford will produce smoothies. Tinaberna is a favourite of mine but any of the beaches along this part of the coast should be fine.
Get a hold of some crab if possible although I hear they are been taken on Rag and sandeel also lately. Best tide is an evening flood although again they have been taken lately during the day. Seems to be good numbers of them about.
