Bait:mainly rag mack sandeel squid razor crab and artificials

Rigs:mostly standard rough ground rigs

Results: in the species comp on ramore head 10-4 i won it with 6 species, cant remember the rest of the results!!


Report:fished ramore head 10-4 then some of us moved on to use up bait at portrush harbour
ramore fished ok today with the usual pile of coalies and ballan wrasse to be had on the float up at the point plus dogs, pollack, corkwing wrasse, conger, dab and grey gurnard.

portrush harbour - some fished the harbour mouth, others on the back wall - dogs, plaice, dab, grey gurnard, pollack, whiting, bwrasse, rockling, coalie, flounder.
a couple of us stayed on and moved into the harbour itself when darkness fell (no lights with us) to just fish for conger, had no sucess

all in all an enjoyable day out in great weather and catching fish,,,, wish it was like that all the time!!

ps, talkin to others you had been fishing other venues - blue pool packed and not great, landowne quiet, few fish, beaches far too busy to consider fishing

pity you couldnt make it , but hey, always the next time!! wont make the scotland trip next month myself, but ill try to get something sorted for us to go out a run somewhere the sunday they are away if im about, if not definately a night before then mate.. give me a buzz soon and we will try to get a wee run out or two sorted... :wink:
