Beach fishing at Ballycastle

Help needed: Can anyone tell me if it is worthwhile beach casting along the strand in the evenings or any time of day/tide and what may be caught and with what bait?[/b]

try rag and mackerel cocktail on flounder rig at any time , you should do ok. aa the light drops into dark change to a clipped down rig baited with sandeel and mackerel for dogfish at distance. some nice flounder and turbot to be had at times on the beach, in my opinion it is one of if not the best beach on the north coast
Not the BigPhil from Irish Angler mag, I'm the original, i swear!!!!

I would have to agree with Big Phil, Ballycastle is a really good beach and very highly underrated
