People:Myself and 5 others

Duration:10a.m to 2 p.m

Tide:High water 1 p.m

Weather:Cloudy, choppy sea

Bait:None

Rigs:Spinners

Results:3 Mackerel, 4 coalies, one pollack

Report:Headed out for a bit of light entertainment to pass a few hours off the rocks at the golf course. Got there early and managed a good spot. The rocks filled with about an hour left till high water resulting in very cramped conditions. All the coalies were taken right at the waters edge with the mack taking deep down at distance. Seals were everywhere and I lost a further 2 fish to them with the spinner twice coming in with just the mouth of a mackerel on it. Very few people caught considering the numbers there, which I put down to the choppy sea conditions not encouraging the fish to shoal up. All in all an enjoyable few hours to get me in the mood for a serious weeks fishing in Kerry starting Saturday. :)

Well done Alan - you fared a lot better than I did last night - report to follow.

Enjoy Kerry
