Barrets strand, Co.limerick, Any info?

I've never fished here but was wondering how good it is. I have been told its very snaggy but also this can be avoided and produces good huss and dogs. I hear its unfishable on the ebb due to the tide run. CFB books say fish first 3 hours of the flood and also mentions ray and flounder. Anyone ever fish it?
