Hi Guys.Just wondering what everyone's fishing goals are for the year ahead.Mine is to catch 3 specimen Ballan Wrasse over 50cm.
A big ask but no point in it been easy.Oh and another one is to just get out more to fish.

Try and get 10 specimen fish this year. Spent a way too much time last year getting my 3 specimen Smooth Hounds from the shore in Cork harbour.
Never went after the shore rockling, corkwing and the grey mullet.

Top of the bucket list this year is a specimen thin lipped mullet and 3 bearded rockling.
Specimen Fish 2024: Shore Rockling (3) 36cm, 34cm, 31cm; Thick Lipped Mullet (2) 58cm, 57cm; Smooth Hound (1) 109cm; Sting Ray (1)125cm; Ballan Wrasse (1) 48cm ; Corkwing Wrasse (1) 24.8cm. Golden Grey Mullet (2) 43cm, 1.8lb; 40.6cm, 1.55lb;
Total species boat/shore: 45

Specimen Fish 2025: 7.
Flounder 46cm; Spurdog 120cm; Stingray 91cm; Smooth Hound 114cm; 103.5cm; 104cm: Golden Grey Mullet 1.6lb
Total species boat/shore: 40
