Beach Fishing - Co. Down

#1 Post by Daryl »

Anyone recommend any good beach fishing spots around County Down in the winter time?

Tried Ballywalter Beach yesterday 2 hours before low tide and 2 hours after. Not a single bite, had lugworm, prawn, razor clam, mackerel and squid. Even tried a bit of salted scallop row (an experiment to try not waste anything from scallops I collected for dinner). I believe its a good spot, maybe a case of no fish at that time.
