North Dublin 28.10.2024

When: 28/10/2024
Where: North Dublin
Who: Myself
Duration: 12:30-14:30
Low Water: 14:00
Equipment: 9ft Abu Garcia Devil & 11ft Daiwa D-wave bass rod
Lure: Savage Gear Seeker 16g Fluo UV Red Black
Bait: Mackerel
Conditions: Overcast
Result: 49.5cm Sea Trout

Got out on my new e-cargo fat tyre bike (proper beach tyres :)) to a remote local mark I've wanted to fish forever but it's very hard to get to on foot. Fishing the last few hours of the ebb, I cast out half a mackerel on a pennel pulley rig hoping for a big bass, and while waiting for bites I was spinning with a savage gear seeker. 2 casts in I got a hit from a very acrobatic sea trout, first time I've ever experienced this, thing was going nuts and jumped out of the water a few times! I just took a quick pic on the measure mat before putting him back as I don't have a licence.. yet  Anyway, fished for another bit but no more joy, still was more than delighted to catch a suprise sea trout :D

Well done Gonzo, Lovely Sea-Trout. those savage gear seekers are a great lure and they cast like a rocket!
