Spiddal Pier
First sea fishing effort in quite a while and looking back it’s almost exactly a year since the last outing. Had an hour to kill on Sunday evening so got the LRF gear out and had great fun targeting the Ballan & Corkwing Wrasse. Took all the wrasse on a little 1 gram jig head and a segment of some gulp ragworm type plastic baits. Was great craic on the light gear.

Re: Spiddal Pier
Nice fishing Jack. What was the swell like.Heading down to Inishmaan Fri for the weekend and always nice to know what it’s like a few days out.Although it can be totally different out at the islands it can give me a bit of a idea.

Re: Spiddal Pier
I was on the new pier, I'd imagine it'd be decent fishing off the rocks where the mackerel guys fish.

Re: Spiddal Pier
can have numbers of small pollack - but nothing too exciting on the lure - very rough ground for bait fishing - best to stay on the pier if your planning to do that
