Arklow beach 19/02/23

2 of us went down for 4 hours yesterday afternoon, 4 rods in the water for a little over 5 hours & not even a bite :oops: :( :cry:

Its tough this time of year and at least your getting out mate, clears the head for a while

You're not alone. And I would see that happen any time of the year, summer included. There's plenty of days like that on the beaches
I went to a local beach on Sunday and set up 3 rods (6 baits) at all distances. It was a really nice day but after 1.5hours of completely untouched baits I thought: To hell wit this. I reckon if I was still there I still wouldn't have got a bite..

Have been out fishing and blanks being had or one whiting or a few dog fish and some small bass. Its a tough time for fishing. Great for clearing the head and the beaches are fairly quiet. My excuse is i am trying to learn how to do a pendulum cast. There are Spurdogs being caught in the dark on North wexford beaches but one hasnt founf my bait yet . Am sure the fishing will pick up soon lads...
