Had a kilo of sandeels and a box of Squid which had been refrozen and 20 fresh lug so decided to fish the west pier on the last hour of the dropping tide and into the rise. Last time I had fished here in November I had 30+ fish in a couple of hours and a friend of mine had fished the peir the day before with similar results.
I fished for about 3 hours using every trace under the sun, different sized hooks (4/0 down to size 4) and drew a blank. Had lots of bits but nothing took
Disapointing session but nice to get out all the same!
Will be out this weekend searching for a late sprurdog
